Day 01 - Welcome to Nairobi
Welcome to Kenya! On arrival at the Nairobi airport, you will be met by a tour representative and transferred to the 5-star Sarova Stanley hotel or similar. An exciting vacation begins here as you immerse in luxury at this legendary establishment.
Day 02 - Nairobi to Shaba National Reserve
On day 2, you’ll leave Nairobi after an early breakfast and make your way towards Samburu. As you continue through the breath-taking scenery of Mount Kenya. You’ll pass through the town of Nanyuki before reaching the outpost of Isiolo, the last major stop on the journey to the remote northern frontier district. From here, you’ll make it to Shaba National Reserve. After arrival, you’ll enjoy a splendid lunch at Sarova Shaba Lodge and then head off for an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sunsets. Throughout the grounds, you’ll witness a variety of birds. Here you can spend the evening with Crocodile feeding demonstrations and entertainment provided by local Samburu villagers as you enjoy a wonderful dinner.
Day 03 - Shaba National Reserve
After breakfast, you’ll go on an early morning game drive in the Shaba National Reserve, where you might be able to see lions as well as elephants, leopards, gerenuks, and elands while rare species such as the reticulated giraffe also make this habitat. For the rest of the morning, you can relax by the pool as you please. After lunch, there will be another game drive, before returning to the lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 04 - Shaba to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, you’ll depart Shaba National Reserve and travel south through Isiolo, crossing the northernmost foothills of Mount Kenya, passing through Nanyuki, and continuing to Nyahururu. Your next stop is the beautiful Lake Nakuru; you can enjoy a game drive en route to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. Here you can witness thousands of flamingos. After lunch, depart for an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Where you might be able to spot both black and white rhinos, the Rothschild’s giraffe along with buffaloes, leopards, zebras, elands, waterbucks, and lions. Then head over to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, situated in the heart of Kenya's most densely populated wetland national park. Here you can relish a delightful meal for dinner.
Day 05 - Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Wake up to a scrumptious breakfast before leaving Lake Nakuru to continue your journey to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Drive to the town of Njoro, where you begin your ascent over the top of the Mau Escarpment. Then, heading south, travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, towards Narok, the gateway to the Maasai Mara. Check-in at Sarova Mara Game Camp and enjoy a delicious lunch before leaving for an afternoon game drive and returning to the lodge as the sunsets. If you travel during the annual Great Migration, you will be able to spot hundreds of wildebeests, gazelles, and zebras.
Day 06 - Maasai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast, you’ll depart on a morning game drive. Maasai Mara Nature Reserve is considered the jewel of Kenya's wildlife viewing areas, significant wildlife conservation, and wilderness areas in Africa. You'll have the opportunity to spot the Big 5—lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos plus several species of birds. Return to the lodge for lunch and perhaps a siesta before setting off for an afternoon game drive and a visit to a Maasai village. Return to the camp as the sun sets and enjoy a mouth-watering dinner.
Day 07 - Until Next Time
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and leave Maasai Mara and head off to Narok through acres of rolling wheat and barley farms. Keep an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you cross the vast plains of the Great Rift Valley. Then you’ll arrive in Kenya where you’ll be dropped off in the city center or at the airport for your flight back home.
