If you are an unvaccinated citizen of the United States travelling to France, you will have to self-isolate for ten days on your arrival. With the US being added to the red list of countries drastically affected by the virus, this decision has come in place.

World Health Organization has reported that 52,53,602 people tested positive for the Coronavirus in the US since the start of the pandemic, in addition to 812,577 deaths during the same period.

As the US experiences an increase in the number of Omicron cases, Authorities decided to register a record number of infections for the second consecutive day. As per Reuters, 18 states have set pandemic case records.

To stop the spread of the Coronavirus’ Omicron, France has changed their restrictions with stricter entry rules.

The number of people who tested positive for Coronavirus in France is a total of 9,070,254, while the death rate during the same period appears to be 120,605, according to WHO figures.

Over 600,600 cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in the last week, while 1,215 people lost their lives as a result of the virus spreading.

These figures led to a decision of the authorities to impose additional travel restrictions to maintain the situation under control.

France Travel Restrictions with stricter rules would apply from the first week of January, according to the government. This includes shortening the time between the last vaccine dose and the booster shot from four months to three months.
